I was anticipating our last night in Paris to be spectacular. I had used credit card points (which we’ve used for a ton of stuff here) to reserve an incredible Seine River cruise with a 3 course French cuisine. I kept it a secret from Tara for weeks and finally told her when we arrived to board the boat.
However, as we were ready to board we were informed that there was a technical malfunction onboard the boat so the cruise would be cancelled. We could be reimbursed or rescheduled. It was a huge bummer, but we made the most of it and went to the Eiffel Tower at night.
(Just across from the tower is the Ècole Militaire–where Napoleon studied).
Today we flew to Cork, Ireland. Everything is green and beautiful…or so I’m told…my eyes were glued to the road.
It’s exciting and challenging to drive on the other side of the car on the other side of the road. But I couldn’t do it without my trusty and patient navigator!

The 54 degrees and rain is a nice change from the 94 degree heat yesterday in Paris.
